The Maison de Jeanne, an internet sensation in 2017, is renowned for being one of the oldest houses in the Aveyron department.
Dating back to the 14th century, it is located at 10 Rue de Belvezet, at the corner of Passage de l’Hospice.
It is famous for being one of the oldest houses in the Aveyron department.
Particularly striking are its timber-framed and partially mud walls, the entrance accessible via some steps and protected under a projection of the upper floor,
the consoles on both levels, the small dimensions of its openings, including an oval one (south wall) and a casement window (north wall).
In July and August, Jeanne’s house hosts medieval events.
It opens its doors to visitors on this occasion.
In May 2017, an American tourist posted a photo of the house on social media.
The photo was then shared more than 1.7 million times within 2 days: Maison de Jeanne has since attracted worldwide attention!
