“People were shocked when they saw what emerged from the sea.
Tourists on the Romanian coast were surprised by what they saw in the water. With the waves of the sea, an injured dolphin was washed ashore.
The dolphin was pulled out of the water in an attempt to save it, but unfortunately, it had no chance. Experts confirmed that it was a mammal of the species Delphinus Delphis.
Several injuries were discovered on its body, likely caused by fishing nets.
In the Black Sea, there are three species of marine mammals: the Harbor porpoise (Phocoena phocoena), the Common dolphin (Delphinus delphis), and the Risso’s dolphin (Grampus griseus).
These incidents underscore the challenges marine mammals face due to human activities, calling for greater awareness and protection of marine ecosystems.
